Since Gio left they really haven't found anyone.

If the Dutch lose today they will need to beat Portugal by a few goals, and hope Germany beats Denmark.

A tie and they could just plain old beat Portugal, and have Germany beat Denmark. But if Denmark beats Germany then the Dutch would need to beat Portugal by enough to move past Germany in Goal Differential or Goals scored.

Dutch defense is a big liability. Maybe they actually find their scoring touch in the second half and actually convert some of these many chances they keep getting. But they will in all likelihood still concede more goals.

I give up. My favorite European team is getting shelled.

Still will wear my Sneijder jersey with pride. At least he hasn't totally screwed up this tournament for us.

Gotta get Huntelaar on the pitch. Affellay has hardly been involved, and when he has he pretty much ruined everything.

Gotta push and get rid of one of the two defensive mids, go 4-4-2 and have RVP pair up with Huntelaar up top or keep your 4-5-1 and move RVP out left when Huntelaar comes on for Affelay, and bring on VDV for one of the defensive mids.

Tactically they are pretty much fricked, cuz their backline is already a huge liability that if they push they will concede more. Only real hope is keep your formation, hope the defenders actually start following their marks, and hope the attacking players can finally put them in the goal.

Will they go all the way? Because I predicted last week that they would win it all...

Willems is clearly far from ready and if they move to a 4-4-2 he's even more on an island (if that's possible), but they don't really have much of a choice. Its not like the two defensive mids are making it tough for Germany anyway.
