Do any of you understand why CONMEBOL chose to go directly against the superior Euro competition? It makes no sense to me.

relevance by association is all i can come up with. pretty stupid

While I realize the time zone difference, I can’t imagine people will stream the Euro at work and then watch a Copa game at home, especially if it’s on ESPN +.
No one has time for 5-7 hours of games in a day.

Euro isn’t until Sept.
What goes directly against what?

VAR is really having a negative impact on this tournament. Uruguay should’ve wiped the mat with Peru today but had 3 goals disallowed that were offsides. Peru doesn’t even register a shot on goal during the game but advanced via pk s. That shouldn’t even be allowed. At least Chile moved on after they got screwed.

If VAR took away three offsides goals then what’s the problem
Posted on 6/30/19 at 9:18 am to cwil177
The offsides rule with even being a hair offsides is bullshite and is ruining it. Chile had 2 goals taken away the day before. I’m sorry but if you fail to register a shot on goal, you shouldn’t move on in an elimination tournament. Uruguay were the clearly better team. The VAR is good in theory but it’s having too much of an impact on this tournament.

VAR aside, Copa has always had unworthy teams move on as a result of hacking defending and winning penalties. Given the size it’s been the most likely to give a surprise winner.

Any of you bad hombres got a stream for tonight?
Posted on 7/2/19 at 7:29 pm to GhostofJackson
I just signed up for espn+ for tonight’s game. Does alenjandro Moreno do the commentary for all of these games? He drives me insane.
