My one pet peeve about this World Cup

The word "Futbol". I get that ESPN and marketers are trying to appeal to the large Spanish speaking population here but MOST of the rest of the world speaks some form of English and calls it "Football". This isn't a Hispanic/Spanish game. Either call it soccer or football.

Well if it was in Portuguese it would be "futebol". My point is this is forced Spanish language marketing being foisted on English viewers.

meh, just trying to differentiate. We've already got a "football". Sorry soccer, but over here the word is already taken and developed around the same time as you.
