This isn't a "he sucks" thread. It's more of a perception I get when I see him play. Everytime he touched the ball around the opposing box today, it never seemed "dangerous" or a distance shot was even remotely possible. Same for the rest of the attacking side. They appeared to only see one solution - damn near walk it into the goal.

If they worked on set pieces, it didn't show. No creativity on corners. Blast it low into the box, let defender block it. Rinse. Repeat.

With Wales dropping so many back, I would have liked to have seen a few hard accurate strikes from distance. Make the keeper uncomfortable.

Disclaimer: I'm fully aware I am an armchair coach and there is a huge possibility I'm missing something that contributed to what I saw. If that is the case, I'm willing to hear it explained. I'm not here to wholesale bash and be ignorant.

I will say seeing Pulisic sit in the ground waving his arms like a fool after it was very clear the ref gave zero fricks was frustrating. Get up and play, I know the refs pulled some annoying shite, but GET BACK IN THE GAME.

He looks really good but his crosses were very weak today. Hardly ever broke the first line

First time watching Pulisic play? He's Charmin soft.

Yes, he is clearly very skilled in tight spaces, but seemed to default to looking to pass it off vs. finish, which is puzzling. In a few spots it seemed like he could at least get a shot on frame. A rebound off the keeper that gets stuffed in can be better than than a pass soemthimes....

They beat the frick out of him. I think it is the game plan to absolutely play him physical. He gets flustered when it happens.

Also, his set pieces today were terrible. There has to be someone on the team that can serve a ball into the box.

Almost inexcusable at this level.

Our team in general plays too conservatively on offense. They are afraid to make an even moderately risky pass in our offensive third and will not even attempt a shot outside the 18.

I’ve never seen so many balls in our offensive third only to be passed back and switch field. It’s like we didn’t have a midfield today.

Greg is trying to be Pep. This is expected.

Why should you be different than anyone else on this thread?

Oh and CP assist on US lone goal.

That's fine, but "Capitan America" as the announcers put it, is there to score, not assist. He's the premiere league wonder striker, but is allergic to putting the ball on frame.

His size hinders him when teams play pulisic physically. He gets knocked to the ground more than any player that I can think of. Factor in his recent injury history, maybe some confidence issues he’s still working thru.

He was hyped up since he was young. Hasn't delivered though. Regressed since going to Chelsea. Obviously this has to do with playing time. Not even the best player on the US team atm.
I had high hopes for him when he burst onto the scene years ago. My "soccer" friends didn't even know who he was but I was hyping him up. Now I honestly can't stand him.

His crosses sucked today.

Outside of Sargents header, was a single ball played to our striker? WTF Gregg? Why even play a striker?

Thats part of the problem, they dont play the ball to the big guys and let them take the beating and dump it off to a winger. We expect the wingers to do all the work.

Yea, the stats are very Greggg. Everything is down the wings and we don't end up with many quality crosses.

That was a tongue in cheek comment.

I think he gets beat up and limited because there isn't a secondary threat.

Opposing teams can focus on him without worrying someone else will beat them with individual talent.

I’d be less upset if it didn’t seem like the ref gave A frick TON of fricks about wales going down with minimal contact
