The NHL has had four "lockouts" that cancelled games. How is that not a Mickey Mouse organisation?

Me too. I thought that would make the most sense. But MLS seems to want an owner who will launch a major commitment to build a stadium in LA. Must believe there is a market there for a second club.

There's definitely a market. A new owner will come in and make the new LA team the cool team around town and they'll get fans.

Are you actually from the UK or do you just use British spelling because you wish you were? Serious question.

As long as it done right it will be successful. The whole Chivas experiment was doomed from the beginning.

I live in Wales and my phone auto-corrects to the British spelling.

how does that make it a mickey mouse organization? just because ppl are arguing over money or feel underpaid doesnt mean its a mickey mouse organization. if you felt like your working conditions werent suitable would you not have something to say about it? im sure you are proud of your job so i can understand why they had a lockout...i guess you cant

When anyone takes over a team they always say "we are committed here blah blah blah." I believe that was also said before the Seattle Sonics were purchased a few years back. I think it's still possible they could move if they can't find someone to keep them in LA. If I was keeping them in the area I think I would look toward Orange County.

This is awesome to see!

Hopefully if they get a new stadium, it will be in a great location and the rebrand goes well. I kinda wish the new owner would move them to San Diego possibly, but getting a new stadium and new owner and a complete rebrand will surely help.

Tijuana owns the San Diego market so the chances of an MLS team moving there are pretty slim.

This happens in almost every American sport. It does not reflect poorly on the league IMO.

I love the move. I don't like the Chivas USA brand, and changing the name, crest, and a new stadium is a plus.

Yeah I know. Man City should just buy this team and ask for a refund

Or maybe Vince McMahon should buy this team and name it Macho Man United. He could hire our own Randy Savage as the 'Murican talent scout.
