I would have been surprised if Garber agreed with Klinsmann leaving him off.
I support Garber defending his league but at the end of the day Klinsmann is entitled to his opinion. It's not going to help his rapport with the MLS guys when he says stuff like that but that's his problem.

Yea, but there's not a whole lot he can do besides not talk crap. At the same time if anyone is surprised that Klinsmann is an a-hole then I wouldn't consider them a very informed fan.
Every coach has his way to motivate, and Klinsmann is going to talk shite to motivate. That's why him and the Golden Boy Donovan never worked out.

This is true. Most people were excited about hiring Klinsmann, but he is a shite-talking angry German. And we knew that from the start.

I actually have never had any issue with JK wanting his best players in Europe. I was pretty pissed when both Bradley and Dempsey came back right before the World Cup.
However, to make a big deal out of this months after a World Cup where he called in Davis and Wondo and just finishing up a camp where he called in a dude from the NASL who couldn't even hack it in MLS, makes Klinsi look ignorant.

I think its kind of funny that many of the same people in this thread that are bashing Klinsman have echoed his sentiment when some key USMNT players moved back to the MLS.

I'm not sure it is going to work out between him and US Soccer (the overall apparatus) either. I have a feeling that Jurgen is going to have a very messy exit from US Soccer regardless of whether we do well or poorly at the next World Cup.

That doesn't mean MLS is complete crap just cause we want our best players to continue challenge themselves.

I'm not sure about that. The program direly needed someone to rock the boat and he's definitely doing that. Sure there have been some stupid shite that he's done, but I think our stock is largely on the rise.

I agree. I just think you are going to have some key power players in US Soccer that do not like each other (they don't like Jurgen, he doesn't like them) let some shite fly from time to time. By the time Jurgen leaves I think everyone will have had enough of each other and won't be shy about letting it be known.

Was it needed to be said? No
The MLS is on the rise, and anyone compairing it to the BPL, La Liga, Bundasliga, or Serie A is a complete idiot because out of the hundreds of leagues across the globe these are the standard. Doesn't mean its a failure to not be there in less than 10 years or so of the leagues existence.
Was he right? Yea
ETA: Should this start the beginning of the end? Hell No
Should people start changing their opinions about him? Well if you stuck by his Donovan decision, then you really shouldn't change your opinion now.

Watching the MLS is almost painful. It's slow, the fans are quiet, and the lack of overall ball control is evident to a novice viewer. That latest friendly US vs Honduras was boring.
How does MLS stack up to Celtic league, Russian, the rest of CONCACAF?
ETA: I'm an uninformed fan and I realize the MLS is not even close to EPL, La Liga, Serie A, BL.....

On par with the SPL (IMHO).
Not on par with Russia (mainly because of the billions of mafia money going around)

The Mexican league is better because a team like Monterray has about 7 times the budget of an MLS team that spends 5 mil a year on players.
The SPL is a POS one team league in which the average quality of the teams is below MLS level.
