Well, what do you expect? This is a country where Chris Wondolowski is considered an international talent.

So Wondo and Brad Davis can make the USMNT but not the MLS All Star team?

Are only Americans in the all star team?

Honestly the fact that Robbie Keane didn't make the all-star team makes it a joke. The guy is so much better than everyone on the field.

Eta:I see now that he did make it. All is well.

10 of 23 players are foreigners, including Keane.

Thierry Henry* (New York Red Bulls)

Interesting...I thought he had retired from the sport? Maybe was it just from international play or is he trying to make a comeback or something?

DeAndre Yedlin* (Seattle Sounders FC)

Another quick question, I know Yedlin got a ton of buildup from his world cup appearances, but how good has he been in MLS?

Obviously an "all star" but im trying to figure out if thats more like based on potential and USMNT performance or actual production this season?

(Please note I watched my first MLS game like a week ago, promise this is curiosity and not trolling!)

Whoops. I didn't look at the list. Just remembered them saying the other night that he wasn't on it.

Wondo and Davis made the team bc none of those "foreign" guys could play for our team. I would take any of those guys over those two. Defoe wouldnt have missed a 3 yd put in.

Foreign guys miss sitters all the time. Higuain is generally considered one of the best strikers in the world and he missed an easier chance to win the world cup.

Wondo's made the last 3 or 4 all star teams. He didn't make this one because he missed that shot.

Dwyer really should have been in the team, probably Benny Feilhaber as well. Only reason Will Johnson made it is because of Caleb Porter because he has not been hour this year.

They should quit letting fans vote for all star rosters. It just becomes a popularity contest.

The coach picks 10 players. I think this is pretty close to the best all-star team possible. Biggest snub is Vancouver playmaker Pedro Morales, imo.
