The only justification i can see the ref saying it’s dangerous play is if he believes rashford is making a tackle

Looks like he’s shielding the ball, will be interesting to see what happens if there is an appeal

Terrible call. Rashford was simply bringing his foot across to shield the ball and wasn’t even looking at the defender.

This is true, but he’s still responsible for where his foot is going.

Pogba used to do this regularly and catch people in the shin. Refs usually just call a foul and get on with it, but it can look nasty even if there’s no force behind it.

Yea at the end of the day his intent doesn’t matter

If the ref deems it dangerous play he gets sent off
