It was just a thought, not a strong opinion or any indictment on DMB. May have helped with depth or to get him some experience. Guys like Yedlin and Brooks were young guys who really benefited from being with the team, even though they weren't projected starters.

Yedlin has all the pace in the world, but he settled to go too wide and wanted to cross it. Definitely should have cut in more and made it a much easier cross to attempt.

I feel like I'm watching a replay of the Ghana match right now. Score early, then defend for our lives.

He absolutely did. If his hands are at his sides, it probably just nicks him instead of getting stopped.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by our lack of explosiveness on the wings (except by fullbacks)? The lack of that really makes us much easier to defend, I think.

Not playing CONCACAF teams makes a difference...

This team is going to be on the back foot against teams like Colombia. A true counter-attacking game with speed down the wings would make the U.S. look a lot better.

Well that was very enjoyable to watch for sure. Great ball in by Bedoya. I love the effort from Rubin. Just a bit off on that diving header.

Rubin so close...Yedlin did well in the build-up. We looked better there on the counter.
