I talked to a few people that watch the sport and it was a 50/50 for everyone. 2nd half straight red, but no contact 14 minutes in... yellow would probably have been enough

Fwiw, I talked to a couple Chelsea fans who thought Cahill deserved the red because of how dangerous the play was.

I think it was a red. You don't have to catch the guy to make it a red. He should have never even attempted that tackle. Its a red no matter what.

I don't know why, but this phrasing cracked me up

Give Bataslkdyi a yellow for embellishment.

I watched Tottenham escape 5 reds against Chelsea 2 seasons ago. "Red no matter what" is not applicable here. It's subjective.

Dumb tackle either way, no reason to leave your feet

Defending champions booed off their own field at halftime of the first match.

This is the best crap league.

Was saying I don't care who you talked to, if you can't be neutral about calls against your team then you suck. I'm saying in the 14th minute, if Burnley had done that I wouldn't have been terribly surprised over a yellow.

Or at least said "that could have been a red"

Easily one of the most despicable performances I've ever seen by a team.

Nah, I got your point. It's just funny phrasing it as "I talked to people who watch the sport" on a forum of people who watch the sport.

F it, not even melting. Melted last night in anticipation. Ref dicked it up and soccer is gay.

Honestly it's probably the best thing that could happen. Either Roman gets his shite together and we do what needs to be done or we keep our thumb up our arse and I can stop giving a shite early without getting invested.

And I saw Suarez bite a chunk out of our defender, escape a red, and score the winning goal later in the game. So when I see an iffy challenge in the 14th minute, I'm not shocked if it's yellow
