If this goes to penalties everyone in that stadium knows what will happen.

We'll find out if England slayed the pk beast with the pk win in the 2018 World Cup

It is inevitable to me that Sterling will miss his penalty

Probably a good call not to do this as it would have disqualified England.

How many good free kick positions have England actually had?

3 in this game alone that I remember, albeit from wide areas.

That was a South American side. The last time England won on penalties in a major tournament against a European side was against Spain in the 1996 Euro quarterfinals.

James Ward Prowse isn't in the GameDay squad.
Therefore, currently ineligible to substitute into the match.

wasn’t joking when I said the other day that the game was screaming out for a JWP

He’s a good midfielder. I’m genuinely surprised he wasn’t brought.

Well they didn't lose all of those to European teams

Man if Locatelli played that ball earlier to Belotti, he was in. But also he was playing off the shoulder of Walker, who likely would have caught up.

If Jude was an 18 year old dominating the Bundesliga, I’d agree with this. All he is though is an 18 year old with a good season in the Championship and half a season in the Bundesliga.

I don’t think he’s ready for this moment.

The problem with Southgate’s changes is they’ve all been too late. Not the players themselves.

Like I said before if Southgate want to play like this it made zero sense not to bring AWB

All but one. Argentina in 1998 was the exception. West Germany in 1990, Germany in 1996, Portugal in 2004 and 2006 and Italy in 2012.

He was for a few days the youngest player ever in the Euros

And he was playing good enough to get a called up

Henderson doesn’t dominate the EPL

A fit Henderson with a creative midfield partner would have worked great
