Those are several big clubs struggling.
I'm not sure about all of those clubs, but Schalke started off the season in god-awful form.
Looked like relegation contenders for awhile.
Slowly but surely turned the results around, still mehhh though.

Not really, when you consider that Bayern's roster is littered with former academy players...and the fact that every German player wants to play for them. They've also scored big on signing players out-of-contract (Lewandowski and Alonso) and unwanted guys by other super clubs (Robben and Koman).
