Preseason tour starts in about two weeks and we still haven't made a single signing/sale, what are the odds ETH has to do the entire tour with the same exact squad.

In a year where we actually had a Striker I'd hope for both. Our midfield depth is lacking so much we really could use both as our primary signings.

With all the questions surrounding DeGea and replacing him since ETH doesn’t like his (lack of) skills with the ball at his feet, why isn’t Dean Henderson given a chance? I see we’re after Pickford and Onana amongst others.

Henderson cannot be our #1 he has zero distribution skills is basically a poor man’s de gea. There’s a reason de gea took his spot right back when he was injured a few years ago. Eth doesn’t want to have to replace the GK this year when he knows he only has a set amount of $ to spend on players, because Onana will be at least 50m.

Edit: and hell nah to Pickford it has to be either David Raya or Onana.

Kit launch was today

But the Megastore was closed because of Glazer protests

They are really fricking us over. Club should have been sold but now we go into another summer window with no plan.

Manchester United are heading for record revenues despite not playing in the Champions League last season. United announced their third-quarter results at lunchtime on Tuesday, less than an hour after another noisy and visual protest at Old Trafford against the Glazer family, who own the club.

quote:

That protest was timed to coincide with the launch of United's kit for the 2023-24 campaign. The Glazer family indicated they were ready to sell the club last November as they launched an assessment of 'strategic financial alternatives'. Seven months on, there has been no sale, amid rumours some of the Glazer family are keen to retain an interest. From the latest figures, it is easy to see why. Stronger matchday and commercial revenue means United have revised their annual revenue forecast from between £590m and £610m to between £630m and £640m, which would eclipse their previous best of £627.1m in 2019. United do still have large debts, in excess of £950m in total, including outstanding transfer fee payments of more than £160m. However, they retain an ability to make money, even managing it on Tuesday as a handful of fans navigated their way past protesters outside the entrance to and exits from the club's Megastore. United say their season ticket waiting list now stands at 146,000.

Just saw that here we go, I'm actually suprised we got him for 60, was convinced they were going to hold out for 70. Looks like we wont get Caicedo now tho.

Eh, there were a lot of reports that talks were advancing earlier this week, even the oracle Fabrizio reported on it. Who knows tbh, still weird that there hasn't been any updates on us signing a striker when it is our most glaring weakness.

It is frustrating seeing the likes of Arsenal spending like $8b for players and we have to scrape and claw for Mount at $60M.
