Looks like Man United fans are getting in on the ticket protest

I appreciate the difference in culture and how their fans respond to this. Would never really happen here (at least at this point).
It sounds like there is a pretty strong base of people trying to plan protests across all PL teams in the near future in one weekend.
20 is plenty, I guess.
Doesn't help that there is a record amount of TV money flooding in right now. EPL would be smarter to have kept a lot of the per-team details quiet like the NFL does. Likely can't with FFP though.

Yea buying tickets and protesting is stupid, if you want them to change don't buy the tickets.

It's just a completely different sporting culture than what we grew up with. So some people don't get where the fans are coming from. Soccer is a working class game and always has been.

That doesn't change anything. I get why they are upset, I'm just saying they are going about their protest in the wrong way if their goal is to produce a change.

Manchester United, your neighborhood pub team? Please dude that ship has sailed a long time ago. They are an international brand, not the working class team you so desire.
You have to have serious money to maintain an iconic brand. There is no other way around it. I know the fans want cheap tix but want the best players. It doesn't work that way.

seriously, Manu has spent money, they arent a team just pocketing money and putting out youth and old, vet scrubs.
i realize there has to be a ceiling, but when ur team wins, the tickets become in demand, the prices rise.
It's the way it is, Sports are big business, especially when u have a brand, like MAN U.

Man united home tix are actually pretty cheap
This team in Denmark is just using them for a money grab
For the locals they are still working class. The tourists are not the ones going to these away matches. You have to be a season ticket holder for years to even be eligible for away tickets in England or abroad.

Well it's fricked up bc they are charging the away fans more than the home fans. Usually that's not the case for away tickets. Usually for premium matches you pay around the same.

At Arsenal we have been dealing with rising ticket prices for a while now. As long as there is people willing to pay the price the clubs will continue to raise ticket prices. The average fan is being priced out and that is sad but things will not change anytime soon.

Well, the LFC fans forced change on their 77 minute walk out during the Sunderland match. The owners cancelled the price increase and reverted next seasons highest priced ticket, back to match this seasons... with a price freeze for the next two seasons..
However, while supporters viewed it as simple greed... they clearly stated that they (FSG) lent LFC, the 120mm for the expansion of the main stand and this increase would start to pay them back... It's a delicate subject, but owners aren't going to buy players and upgrade facilities out of their own pockets...
