Gotta love Suarez in the post game interview, "there's only one captain on this team, and that's Stevie."

Ran over to Agger when he came on and gave him the arm band, too!

Yeah he's done some stupid shite in the heat of the moment (I mean there is no excuse for biting someone), but all in all I think he's actually a decent guy.

Tony Barrett is saying the buyout is for Non-English clubs and more than the Bale fee...

Seems hard to believe he'd sign that... not many people are gonna stump up over £85mm... So he could potential be bound here UCL or no UCL... granted, we can always sell for less, it would be interesting to know the real details...

I can't tell how he's been defensively, but he's definitely been a weapon on offense.

What's with our players and bad alcohol choices? First Suraez and Corona, now Cou and Smirnoff Ice

I thought Allen was exceptional in the first half. Pretty poor in the second. But its still improvement. Flanno, Hendo, Sterling, Luis……we've got ourselves a team gentlemen.

He's got a switch that flips when he steps on the pitch. From all accounts he's a wonderful person when he isn't playing, and a consummate professional in training.

My love for Cou makes me believe that he wasn't getting that crap for himself. He was just getting some to ICE his fellow bros.

Graduated on Friday so I was black out drunk and missed the match. MOTD highlights were exceptional though.

I've just learned to live with the fact that we will never be good at defending set pieces. It's an inevitable result of a smaller, technical team, and is really only a problem against the minnows who practice them relentlessly in training. But goddamn that marking on their goal was abysmal.

Was on a cruise this past week. Watched a replay (not knowing the score) of the Spuds game on Tuesday in a Jamaican Margaritaville. Was extremely happy - really we were unfortunate to not score more in that first half as we completely dominated the ball and chances.

My DVR Screwed up and didn't record the Cardiff game, but I saw the match highlights and everything looked good.

I would like to offically eat crow on Flanagan. He is much more of an asset (not even counting the goal) going forward than I thought he would be. And while I thought he was abused a bit in the Everton match by faster/quicker players, he has played good defense during this stretch. And I feel a lot better about our depth there, and his future.

Henderson and Allen bring a lot of energy. I still think Lucas can be a bit of a liability, and would love to see Henderson, Allen, and Stevie get a run of games later this year, with Lucas subbing on as needed.

While I agree we're going to give up some goals, our CBs are tall and should do well, and frankly, there is ZERO excuse for not having anyone mark their deepest guy. From the set-up, no one had him covered. Just terrible. Thats something the U-18s should at least get right every game. Something is not at all right - and if we're going to keep this system, it needs to be addressed.

You could also see a lot of frustration from the players when it went in - they really want a clean sheet.

Oh, and Congrats Beast - welcome to the real world???

Yeah I can excuse missing the defensive header. Understandable I guess because of the type of player we're going after. But simply leaving a man totally unmarked is unacceptable. Glen Johnson to blame for that one (surprise, surprise).

Congrats Beastie!

In regards to our defense, I think this is probably Agger and Johnson's last year with us... possibly Skrtel too.. Cissokho isnt coming back and who knows with Enrique, we can use an upgrade there because I still dont think Flani Alves is a long term solution..

So, I think there will be a big shakeup over the next couple of seasons and hopefully that can go some way in solving this problem..

Also, what does Hendo have to do to usurp that bum Cleverly in the England setup? He needs to go to Brazil!
