I was very encouraged by the communication between Suarez and Sturridge.

I also loved that we finally scored in the second half, and I think Suarez' return will pay dividends with our second half performance in the future.

Sooooo what's y'alls thoughts on our best formation with our best XI? 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1?

I really think we need to win the next three and set up a huge clash with Arsenal.

Home vs. Palace
at Newcastle
Home vs. West Brom

Then at Arsenal

All three should be wins. But you also expect a slip up now and again. Hoping Southhampton was our slip up for quite awhile.

We need to put as much distance between us and the Manchesters as possible right now.

As for formation - I'm partial to the 4-2-3-1 - but I worry that it doesn't leave any room for our marathon man Henderson once Coutinho comes back. Might have to do the 4-3-3 again - which is pretty similar to the 4-2-3-1.

I think the 3-5-2 serves our needs right now, given the current state of our defenders. We will probably use it again against Crystal Palace.

No doubt, have to kick them while they're down. I expect both of them will find their form at some point.

If Sturridge and Suarez stay healthy, how many goals do yall see them scoring? I believe Sturridge is already at 5 or 6 and Luis is at 2.

It depends greatly on who is getting the ball to them and who we buy in January, if we actually do buy, or possibly even sell?

Also, the English media have a vendetta against Suarez so you know if he does well they will fight like hell to keep him from succeeding.

*ducks*

And England are desperate for a #9 so that could possibly fuel Sturridge.

Plus you have to factor in injuries and what not. I would love to see it happen. This Is Anfield tweeted that it hasn't been done since 1960 at LFC. To see it happen would be fantastic.

There's just so many factors. There's a possibility though and it's exciting.

I think a CDM is a must in January... I thought it was over the summer, and these first few matches have proved it... I hope we get one.

I hate to beat this mantra, but Yann M'Villa falls right into the mold of last January's signings... immensely talented but fell out of favor... A year in Russia should have screwed his head on straight and he shouldn't be too expensive. He has to be ready for a change. But there are plenty of others, too..

If Sturridge puts up close to 20 goals this season, the FA will be falling over themselves trying to get him to be in the WC.

ETA: As far as January signings go, I would like to see cover for Lucas and Glenn Johnson. I am not certain Wisdom is ready yet if Johnson gets injured, and I would really like to see him get loaned out.

Not a chance. He is the cover in case of any injuries to their aging superstars.

Yes. And I would like to see one more striker. A proven striker.
