While we're on the topic of the big lady with the ponytail, does anybody know how he got that shiner on his right eye? My money is on bar fight.

Just finished the tivo. Was so mad i threw my computer chair against the wall.

I've come to the conclusion that God simply hates us. Those last two shots right off the line in extra time.....you fricking serious?

Unlike most here I thought alot of boys played well. I've been a Downing and Hendo hater since day one but I thought they both played considerably well. Gerrard was great as usual. Maxi wonderful. Enrique was incredible on defense, atrocious on offense. Glenn was his usual shite after that flash of brilliance against Chelsea. I thought Agger and Skrtel played pretty well in a solid back line.

Its just bad bad bad fricking awfully bad luck. This team really is just retardedly unlucky. My head is still spinning from that save against Carrol in the dying seconds.

Downing was terrible when it counted. He was better in some ways, but once again was lacking in the final third and I didn't think Henderson was that great yesterday but not nearly terrible as Adam.

I just don't buy this anymore. There might be some bad luck mixed in there, but in general there's some pretty terrible play that's bringing luck into the equation.

25+ shots, with only 6 on goal shows that there just isn't enough quality. Bad luck against a shitty team like Blackburn, Wigan, etc should be Suarez just missing his hat trick or Downing not opening his account in a 3 goal victory.

Not being denied winners in the last 15 seconds of a mediocre performance imo

Sorry, what I meant to say was I thought he was considerably better than usual. Not necessarily that he played well. I've thought he was dreadfully awful for awhile now, so this was a bit better than what I was used to.

I agree. What I'm getting at, though, is that we have 2 or 3 shots every single game that, any other year, would be game winners. I know, it should never even come down to that against a shite side like B'burn. But it still sucks nonetheless.

I'm scared to ask, but is anyone heading to Finn's for this one? Just figured since most of us were on break from school someone might show up.

At least once an hour I remember how much I dislike Adam right now. I get kinda angry and then have no one to bitch about it to.

I think that the loss of Lucas has put more pressure on Adam than his skill set can support. He was playing much better when he had Leiva's consistency next to him. Having said that, that PK last week was embarrassing and the OG yesterday was inexcusable.

oh, and maybe this will help cheer you up.

So I'm wondering...is King Kenny the long term answer? The team always seems organized really well, but there is a distinct lack of creativity even with Suarez. It's like each player hits a wall in the final third where you can see them run out of ideas.

Who, if anyone, would you like to see succeed KK? Ancellotti? Rudi Garcia? Luciano Spalletti?

And we won't have Suarez Friday since he will be serving up a one game ban for flipping off the Fulham fans.... This may be unwatchable...

I know there are plenty fans that disagree with me on this, but I would take Rafa back in a heart beat. With ownership willing to spend, he could stockpile our club with talent that we could win with and make money off of. Look at what we sold some of the players he brought in for compared to Roy. And I'll admit that I may be biased because of the CL win, but we scored goals and we won.

I would take Rafa back with FSG and the financial backing... He would come back in a heartbeat!

At this point, I don't see a reason why KK wont see his 3 yrs out, though...

I don't know that Rafa would work with Comolli in there. Rafa likes having his way in player purchases I believe.

I like Rafa having his way in player purchases. But, you're right about Comolli...there seems to be an Anglo-South American focus since last Jan. And Rafa seemed to favor European (particularly Spanish) players.

Definitely, Comolli would have to go if Rafa came back...

Adam, Downing and henderson are all squad players (although, I think Hendo will eventually have a nice career as a CM and an England Int'l, as well).

No way Rafa buys these players (or Carroll for 35)...
