Lovely bit of passing on that lead up and Mo served that up like soft serve on a cruise ship. Hell yeah Jota!

Slow start (old habits are hard to break) but that was a pretty sharp second half. A few more correct decisions in the final third and we could’ve poured in 4-5 goals.

Overall a great first game under Slot. Brentford at home next week then at Old Trafford the morning of the LSU/USC game. Talk about a potential amazing or super shitty day

I’ll take that all day. Clean sheet, 3 points and no stress down the stretch.

I appreciate what Gomez has done for our club but he'll never be as valuable as he is right now. He might be on England's 2026 WC roster but probably not playing for the 3 Lions by Euro 2028 and beyond. Selling him and Carvalho is good business but you have to fricking buy a #6 and a leftback in January. Those are our 2 weakest positions on the pitch. If you don't then selling those guys becomes bad business.

Gonna have to get used to this style of play, look very composed. We don’t look nearly as open at the back as we have in the past which sure is nice.I still think we are a LCB,#6 and probably a Mo backup away from seriously contending for a big trophy. You know……. the exact three signings we were told were gonna happen by every writer associated with the club before the time came when we actually had to pay for these players.

Yeah, I sure hope we are making too much of that. You never want a player happy to be taken off but it looked childish didn’t it? I love the subs because we need to save players since we are going to give this thing a go with this squad as is.

Not only that, how many times have we had a season truly or nearly sunk because of injuries? I like the idea of keeping minutes off of our best guys when the moment calls for it.

Agree on injuries wrecking silverware chances. I get where Trent is coming from but hot damn there’s a long long way to go in the marathon. Take a rest and avoid injury.

I put my drink down as soon as they crossed midfield on that one, because I knew they were most likely going to score. After watching the movement on the way to goal, I KNEW it was going to happen.

I hope all three. TAA is obvious due to age, if you can convince VVD and Mo to extend 2 years I think they are no brainers.

Mamardashvili deal is done but he’ll play at Valencia on loan this season. Makes me think this is Ally’s last year between the sticks on Merseyside. Chieso deal is supposed to get over the line in the next 24 hours. We are sending Bajcetic to Salzburg on loan. They qualified for the Champions League today.

This is great business and gives us incredible depth across the front three! If he stays healthy, he's every bit the talent of our current group..

Of course, I would have had GK and Attacker behind DM/LB/CB in the pecking order of priorities, but I'm not in control...
