NO Jesters have started something like a developmental academy team. My youngest is on one of their Elite squads. I doubt they intend to bar players from HS soccer though, when that time comes.
Any of the four are capable but Jesuit does seem to be peaking.

I'll probably go to the Newman/U High semi-final on Saturday at 5:00pm at Newman. Newman has scored 23 and conceded 2 in 3 matches. The 2 conceded were in the second half of the quarters with basically all freshmen playing.

Newman beat U-High in the finals twice now (ask bluebarracuda), and I can tell you that they will continue to do so as long as U-High's coach continues a shitty, boot it and run, Stoke City style of soccer.

Newman plays really attractive soccer. Every player has good technique and can pass really well.

Not the same type of Academy, vista.

Academies are only given by the USSF and are age groups 16 and 18. Pre-academies are 14 and 12s.

Examples are FC Dallas Academy, Houston Dynamo Academy, IMG Academy.

LHS has two really good attacking players and a very good holding mid. Their attacking players can sometimes try to do too much. They'd be better off if they played through the midfield more, but they were entertaining to watch.

I don't think this team is as good as the state championship team but they look comparable to the 2006 team that beat Jesuit in the quarters and got DQ'd because of an ineligible coach.

Yeah. Both of those championship games was like watching Stoke City play Barcelona.

I will have to say St. Paul's will take it all.

Anyone that can beat my Hahnville 5-0 must be amazing.

Very little has changed since my playing days, it seems.

Pulling big-time for Episcopal today, I only wish I could be there.

Obviously you missed the match earlier this year that ended 1-1? And the 2009 final was a total fluke-a wind aided bouncer from 70 yards out with under 5 minutes in a game U-High dominated doesn't sound like the opponent was shitty. Interesting start time of 5:00 this evening-trying to gain advantage with the weird effects that happen at twilight? Should be good-we were the only DIII team that Newman didn't beat all season. And 3 out of 4 DIII teams to make the semi's are from our District.

I played for U-High, so I think my assessment of our retarded playing style is a fair one.
