We know that Mexico must lose at CR and Panama must beat the US for El Tri to be in danger. Both would finish with 11 points.
Since the goal difference between the two is just two (in Mexico's favor) at the moment, that won't be an issue to hurt Panama if the results create the need for tiebreakers. But a multi-goal loss for MEX and/or multi-goal win for PAN can swing it the way of the fighting Canals.
And if Panama wins by the same margin as Mexico loses by, then Mexico would have to have scored two more total goals than Panama on Tuesday to make up the difference in total goals scored (Panama +2).
So if the US is down a goal in the second half while Mexico happens to be trailing, Klinnsy should empty the bench with offensive subs to go for the tying goal. If that leaves us vulnerable in the back, oh well.

Jwho, I think if Panama wins and Mexico loses then Mexico is out. Last time I checked Panama had a -2 goal differential (1st tiebreaker) but more goals scored (2nd tiebreaker).
In the case that Mexico loses and Panama wins, that makes up the goal differential and we move to the second tiebreaker, which is goals scored, which Panama would then advance on.

Yeah, you're right, Cwil. I went all dyslexic and described it backwards. Although Mexico could conceivably advance if they lose 4-3 while Panama wins 1-0 (goals scored would then be even, and tiebreaker would then move to head-to-head).
