They should really test Wober’s capability to settle the back 4 and put Firpo and Llorente along side him in the FA cup.
Credit to the square ball guys for mentioning that hilarity on their latest podcast.

Leeds are exploring new options for the midfield including Weston McKennie. It’s one of the possibilities considered by the club as
@MatteMoretto
has reported #LUFC
The list still includes Azzedine Ounahi after opening bid made weeks ago.

Seems like they are looking at plans B, C etc to make sure they get someone in during the window for the midfield

I really wanted Weston last summer. He’s picked up a few more injuries since then. Would prefer Ounahi or my boy Enzo Le Fee but if the price is right go for it.

Instead of a midfielder, shouldn’t we be signing a defender? Or is the best defense a great offense?
Edit - guess the midfield is a second line of defense? Shore it up and your defense improves as well.
I need to find a “soccer for dummies”.

Thats an absurd price
Could get Le Fée AND Ounahi for that

in our case the system leaves them exposed in transitions when we are trying to press or when we turn it over and have too many players forward. It was frustrating watching us continue to try and attack right through the middle on Sunday. We need width which obviously Marsch doesn’t want. The below graphic gave me AIDS. Notice how Aaronson is on the ball and Adams, Roca and Harrison are all like “the spider man pointing at spider man” meme
Also notice how Ayling is the only “wide” player and our fullbacks have to provide the width. Now if we turn it over the whole right side is wide open begging for a counterattack
I’d love to see Marsch go with more width and a mid block but it won’t happen.
Notice #3
Marsch is getting the Ted Lasso treatment on Twitter for that sign but it’s nothing over the top and pretty standard. The minimal width tho

Right
I remember seeing it in the game and thinking “this will generate some discussion.”
Yep. Summerville, Sinisterra, Harrison, Gnonto, Aaronson. Summy is having a breakout season so fair play but i want to see him practically hugging the sideline like Raph

Still pisses me off every time I see all those talented wide players running in the midfield together.
It’s like shite Jackie just run outside with it and cross, don’t run to the edge of the box in a straight line with everyone else.
Makes the guys have to execute amazing laser accurate passes between 4-5 defenders legs. Or most likely get lucky with the pin ball bouncing to someone from Leeds in the box with 2 foot of space to take a whack at it.

Weston McKennie has accepted Leeds United contract proposal, personal terms are not an issue - it's on Leeds and Juventus now #LUFC
The two clubs are discussing on conditions of the deal to understand how to proceed in new round of talks.

No more excuses. Time to win some games.

First time I’ve seen Leeds linked to this fella so honestly no idea if click bait or legit
Also, it appears Arsenal could be throwing their hat in the ring for McKennie

Yeah definitely no excuses now with this hire and what they’re investing this window, assuming they get Weston or another midfielder over the line. But it probably also suggests the rope is longer than what the table and fixtures suggest. They aren’t going to do all of this if they’re considering sacking him during, or at the end, of this manageable run of games. He’s probably got a couple more months at least unless things just completely fall apart.
