Today it becomes a winning streak!
Posted on 8/13/22 at 9:30 am to Who_Dat_Tiger
Well now we definitely need a striker
Posted on 8/13/22 at 9:57 am to S
Of course they would both go down with injury the same week

Looking at the fixtures through October Leeds have a chance to really build some points if they can hold their form and get a striker before the window closes
Posted on 8/13/22 at 11:16 am to 225rumpshaker
Yep we could be in double digit points if we take care of business. Chelsea and Brighton look like the toughest of the upcoming games
Posted on 8/13/22 at 12:24 pm to S
We should maybe buy a left back and a striker.

Good news is sounds like both Bamford and Joffy are slight knocks. But if the CdK money is still there we need to strengthen those two positions

I got the sads we lost out on 2 pts today. Was looking at the live table while we were up 2-0 and daydreaming of one more great transfer window and competing in the Champions League next year

Postgame- im glad Marsch praised individual play, stayed encouraging, and at least made slight reference to himself failing to make better decisions. But he absolutely called out JH for not holding on the 5 man back line in the defense and allowing that goal.

Really disastrous coaching job by Marsch today.
It was 34 degrees C and he waits until the 82nd minute to make his substitutions (minus Bamford who was injured in the first half) thoroughly got out-coached in that one. Aaronson wasn’t great either - very underwhelming performance against a shite EPL team.

Need Kristensen to settle in. That’s 2 goals he’s been involved in by getting caught out

Yeah I didn’t understand the lack of subs. But Harrison was awful on their second goal.
Posted on 8/13/22 at 8:57 pm to cwil177
Him and Roca were both exhausted, should’ve come off around tDrinks break or right after.

That’s why we added a lot of off-season signings - to increase our depth that wasn’t there last year. These are the kind of days you have to take advantage of that. But….moving on.

I think it’s still a bit early to be calling anyone a shite EPL right now.
Except Scum those bastards are shite
Edit: but 100% the depth wasn’t utilized today as it should have been, hopefully Jesse learns from that blunder and moves forward from here.

Leeds expect a busy week in the transfer market. Talks ongoing for Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner. 25-year-old is very creative and technical. Jesse Marsch driving this one. Benfica pushing, too. Che Adams (a player Leeds tried for in 2020) is also a possibility.
quote:
Adams one of many forwards Leeds considering. Ralph Hasenhuttl says he doesn't want to lose him but Saints board are open to offers. Martin Terrier is a longer-standing target. He's happy at Rennes, who will hold out for a big fee. Told close to £35m is the asking price.
quote:
Cincinnati's Brandon Vazquez another forward being tracked, but told unlikely Leeds will move this summer. 15 MLS goals this season and USMNT cap very possible soon. Marsch a fan but he's a long- not short-term option (and solution).
quote:
Nothing advanced on Blackburn's Brereton Díaz. Not a lead target for #LUFC. Several EPL clubs looked over past two windows but a few top scouts question whether his hold-up play and awareness (on/off ball) will enable him to be an EPL hit. Clear potential, though.
quote:
A final name to mention is Ollie Watkins. Villa sources dismiss tension between Watkins and Steven Gerrard and maintain they don't want to sell. Palace and Leeds monitoring. Key will be whether Watkins pushes for an exit. Villa calm about situation but no doubt one to watch.
Seems likely we move for Wagner. I’ve never seen Vazquez but I’d like to see us make a move like that and loan him back to cincy then a championship club and see how he comes along. Terrier is kinda expensive, would rather offer that type of money for Watkins.

WOKE: Radz wasn’t going to sign anyone so Mensa Jesse Marsch planned for the game to go that way to get the board to pick up some more guys.

When are Leeds going to sign Ben DIAZ??

Every single article linking Leeds to a striker is using this picture of Bamford inserted some place in it.
Not sure why but it makes me laugh.
Seeing some crazy stuff out there today, seems like the British pundits have linked Leeds to every forward out there.
- Armando Broja - Chelsea
- Christian Pulisic - Chelsea
- Che Adams - Southampton
- Ismaila Sarr - Watford
- Wilfried Gnonto - Zurich
- Brandon Vazquez - MLS
