Guys just quit. Looks like if you inspect the code on the webpage it's a 6 hour wait.

I imagine it will speed up some when people just give up.

Feels like it'll be a countdown to disappointment.

No timer here yet

I did try to see if one could manipulate the queue timer code but I'm not that smart. I have a saved video on Instagram I was using to see if I could make that work. I'm sure there's a 10,000 bots ahead of all of us.

I should have tried to "vibe code" it but I'm otherwise busy and the desktop site was already not working for me to attempt that

I got in. The game I'm looking at is the round of 32 in Dallas on 7/3. On Stubhub and other places they are stupid like $800 each. Surprisingly they are $440 on the fifa site right now. I'm tempted but I think I'm going to hold off for now. I'll be in Houston for a game so I'll at least get to say I went to a world cup game.

Not sure about this ticket drop specifically, but overall they weren't anywhere close to sold out with the prices they were asking in the previous phase.

It's a POS.

I'm currently rolling past the E about 75% the way around.

Apparently the workaround for the 403 error was to go to the URL and change "en" to "es" which would load the Spanish website/server. Go to the game you want and don't frick around.

Ridiculous

I think FIFA is drastically overestimating how many people in the US will pay top dollar for these games, not to mention the travel expenses.

Yep. I can't imagine some of these group stage games will be at capacity, with scrubs that would never make a world cup if not for the expanded format.

The other day they had a segment on the Dallas news; they were all "tickets are a thousand dollars! Parking is $500, hotels are $500 a night!" Then finished with "but you can take the dart rail for $9-$12 per ticket!"

That's their solution, increasing dart rail fees and marketing them as reasonable

How does this ticketing debacle compare to other world cups. Are they raping Americans because they'll probably be able to get away with it?

Europe has largely adopted regulations that limit ticket prices to keep them reasonable for all socio economic levels. Not the case in the United States. FIFA is hedging that our capitalist society will pay ridiculous prices anyway but did not factor in current economic conditions or apparently the fact that soccer is not the #1 sport here.
