The latest of the ticketing debacles...now they're going to dump more tickets across all the matches. This comes after a NYT article that ticket sales are lagging way behind. Basically FIFA is trying to extract every penny it can out of people that want to go to the matches.

Im actually proud of our fan base for holding firm and not letting FIFA strongarm us into overpaying.

FIFA might end up making a fricking killing off this WC like they did in 1994 and that's all that matters to them. But hopefully not.
A friend of mine bought USA opener tickets at the eye watering price. I would have said frick that, but I was able to get flights and room at cheapest award points possible which brought my total cost for room/flight/ticket to something I could stomach.
We'll see if that price collapses and we're holding the bag.

Game tickets will be priced in three categories, according to seat location. Prices for most first-round games will range from $25-$65. Tickets for the stadium series, five matches, are priced at $140 for Category 3 seats, $245 for Category 2 and $355 for Category 1, the best seats.
Individual tickets for the semifinals at the Rose Bowl will cost $90 for seats behind the goals, $200 for seats in the corner of the end zones and $300 for seats between the end lines.

I've been on since 8:10am just waiting for something to popup. I am in Queue with the blinking dot about 1/20th on the way around.

It really is disappointing that USSF didn't do more to get members' a better opportunity to buy tickets. I've entered every lottery and actually paid for an Insider's Membership, but have gotten nothing. Such bullshite.

I can't even get into the queue there's tickets available, so it's just a shitty web interface. If you're going to charge crazy money, you better have a ticketing system that works.
