I know you don’t get this, but part of being a professional athlete is following team rules… whether you agree with them or not.
He needs to grow up. Apparently it wasn’t difficult for the other professionals to follow team rules for a week.

It's simple as saying its a USMNT issue that will be handled by the team.
Also, people need to quit acting like this kind of thing wasn't the absolute norm before these ridiculous times.
Ok, he screwed up doing something social, but its not like 1000 other great athletes didn't do the same thing before him only to not get caught and still perform just fine.

And there are over 1,000 instances well before COVID where a player has been punished for partying a day before a game.

I don’t agree with this. To me the loser mentality is looking the other way because you need this player so badly. I have no idea what the real story is but if you break team rules and are sent home, well that’s kind of the risk you run when you break team rules.
Mckennie is good. One of the best players in the US player pool. But Weston mckennie isnt close to good enough to have separate sets of rules for him and the rest of team. He’s not a Zlatan or a Zidane or a Xavi. His consonants are way too mundane to be breaking rules like he’s some kind of Yaya.
