Sheep too. What Jurgy haters don't understand is the amount of youth development that has been created since he took over. That is where he is earning his keep.

While I'm hopeful that during his tenure we reach some new levels, I think he will do a lot of good for the future set up - both in terms of young guys he's helping with now and in terms of the processes and set-up that is being developed.

It is not that drastically different than our other coaches. He is a fairly solid coach with sometimes questionable tactics. I don't really think anyone should disagree that much with that.
From a personal standpoint, I hope he and his son go back to Germany.

Based on what, exactly? Are you scouting these guys on a weekly basis, watching them practice, meeting with them in person, looking to address tactical needs within a team...?
All Herr Klinnsman has done for us is win at an unprecedented level. It's not that crazy to suggest we start giving him the benefit of the doubt.

We are not that different than we were a couple years ago. The pool is growing and the team is getting slightly better. This has been virtually the same for the past 25 years. We will likely continue to marginally improve with small cycles of success and relative failure.
The vast majority of qualified coaches could have put us on a similar path. He is a solid coach, but it is laughable to think we have not seen improvement before Jurgen's time as a head coach. You guys are acting like he is Mourinho, Pep, or Carlo.

The fact that in the minutes he has gotten with USMNT he has done exactly shite to warrant his inclusion in said team. Can he improve and become productive? Sure. We just saw Bobby fricking Wood score goals against Holland and Germany. But Ibarra has done nothing to this point to show us that he has a future on this team

You don't get it. Jurgy is leaps and bounds over his predecessors. The youth movement is where it is going to pay off. We will see the fruits of his labors by 2022 and we will be on a higher level. He is credited with Germany's resurgence as a soccer power because he emphasized heavily on youth development in Germany. They were crapping the bed by 2004 with no viable replacements in the pipeline. By 2006, they were getting back their footing with that youth movement. Obviously, it has been paying off ever since.

We are a good team, not a great one. It will take many generations to reach or even sniff that elite level if we can do it at all.

it feels like arena doesn't get enough love. i think a lot of people remember him from 2006 alone. i wasn't a bob guy but he did a good job, same with jurgy though his son def seems like a chochbag

I think he is a solid coach. I just don't see why everyone thinks he is amazing. We currently have one amazing thing on the USMNT. His name is Michael Bradley, and Jurgen played him outside of position in the most important games of his international career.
