I don't think he's that good yet. Still wastes a lot of chances he should bury. He will be good though. I'd definitely offer him a spot on the plane to Brazil with no promise of playing time.

If he's a better option than the player he displaces, that's the life of a player on the fringes of the national team. He wouldn't be the only player on the team who was added late during the cycle early in his career.

That reminds me I remember the day Bradley was let go by the USSF and shortly afterwards Ching said some shite on twitter about karma or whatever. Just sounds real butthurt to me. I can understand why he'd be butthurt, but international soccer isn't really an arena where managers can give their players lifetime achievement World Cup spots. Can't really frick around when your performance is ultimately based upon three games every four years.

Even for club they can stick you on the reserves or to some 3rd tier club if you suck. Can't really blame the mangers because if the team does bad it all falls on them first.

I think it's because he's represented Germany in official FIFA-sanctioned youth team tournaments.

Spector played for a Chicago youth team until he was 17 or so.

Yeah, he's played some out wide and I'm sure he'd do it well.
I just don't want people to expect him to come in and be a superstar right away. He's still being groomed.

Yeah, I'm not so sure I would put him in my starting lineup just yet.

depending on how things go with Bayern he might be in Germany.
Their mind set is to cap everyone with German blood in them or born there. Even if they don't end up playing for them in major tournaments.

Important, sure, when the players competing for a spot have similar qualities or ability. But you don't take the chance of losing a better, younger player. It's not like Jozy or Dempsey or Donovan or whoever aren't going to play as well or try as hard because fricking Chris Wondolowski didn't make the cut. Athletes at that level are a lot more selfish than you'd think, as they should be.

Unless Wikipedia lied to me (and why would it - everything on the internet is true), this guy has played one minute in a first team match, and has never scored a first team goal - and he should certainly make our World Cup team, and perhaps be a starter?
