Jermaine Jones went from scapegoat to this board's favorite player, and I love it.

I didn't really play much soccer after childhood until a few years ago. First game I played as an adult, I broke my nose on someone head.
Is it not a common injury?

Nah. It's certainly not common enough to have a team experience two in three games

FWIW, I have loved Jones and defended him against the mobs. Glad I can just enjoy his play now.

The spirits, and talents, of Jones and Bradley switched bodies sometime between Jacksonville and Ghana.

Pretty much. I hated him forever. 180 degree turn - man was I wrong.

My only 180 degree change on a guy has been Beckerman. I like almost all of our players.
Eta: I don't like Brek Shea.

I've been getting in fights with mofos on here about the man for like two years now. Glad everyone else is now on Team Jermaine Junior

I've been there with you. Jones has always been one of our best players. He is now making the most of his one shot on the biggest stage.

I've been reading this board for awhile and I still don't understand your disdain for Jurgen....Who would you have in his place?

That man put in a great effort Thursday.

Sour grapes over LandyCakes? Even Landon would say its time to move on and support the man and team that willed their way through the group of death.

That was a rather random comment. Honestly, we could use an attacking wide player like him now. The qualities he shows when he's on form down the flanks are a piece we're really lacking, especially with Altidore out. Zusi, Bedoya, and Davis are all crossers. With only Dempsey as a real danger in the air, that style of play is less effective. Someone who can break down the wins and go one-on-one with guys would be useful.
But back on Jones, I am so glad to see him playing with discipline. Before this recent run of matches, seeing him on the field just annoyed me. Everyone watching knew the yellow card was coming. He also has shown a great responsibility in holding in front of the defenders, yet he is more of a threat going forward than I ever remember. I hope we aren't jinxing him.
