I just remember not being impressed with the results

Well we should have beaten Slovenia handily if not for the inexplicable corruption of FIFA. Algeria was like playing Stoke; that would've been hard for Barcelona. And if I recall correctly didn't we have a few really good chances against England that didn't go in? I thought there were two really good shots that went off the woodwork.

In any case, if we took this team to 2010 and lined them up in that group I'd say a loss to England, a draw (potentially a loss) to Slovenia, and a draw against Algeria.

to be fair I wasnt as tactically aware as I am now. might have selective memory. either way I'm really excitedabout the potential this team has. I don't they lose another qualifier, unless injuries hold us back. or suspensions.

speaking of, isn't zusi out next match?

Yup, Zusi is out with yellow card accumulation, consistently one of the dumbest rules in soccer.

I think Eddie Johnson starts at one of the outside mid slots, considering he plays in Seattle professionally. I know they aren't the same type of player, but Zusi had a phenomenal performance in front of his supporters in Kansas City.

Very true, good point.
That was also Danny Williams last good performance for the national team

Most of the fan made starting XI on american soccer now had eddie johnson in. I'm most intrigued by who starts next to bradley: cameron, kljestian or danny williams.

I think it will be Cameron, unless Jurgy thinks he needs to save him in case he needs to plug a hole in the back...

I feel that way as well, I don't see him turning the keys over to williams or kljestian.

Geoff Cameron in starting midfield?
Maybe we are worse than I thought
I guess he would stay back as holding all night and let Bradley roam forward with freedom, because while I think GC is a very very good defender, he offers zero going forward especially in the midfield.

Fair enough, who do you see him playing instead?

guess to each his own, but there is no way in hell I'd choose this team over the 2010 WC squad.

Maybe not, but it's not JKs fault that most of the key players on that squad are now past their prime. It's not like some other coach would be fielding that same 2010 lineup if they were in charge today.

Well it won't be Williams, he's off the roster due to injury. But for some good news, It looks like Blas Perez will not travel to Seattle due to gastrointestinal problems.

I wanna see Klejstan paired with Bradley if SnoFro can't go. Sacha did alright vs Belgium, but I think he'd play really well paired with the General.

I know Jones has been arguably out best player lately, but I think we'll be alright with either Cameron or Klejstan in there. My bigger concern is the suspension of Zusi on the wing. He's been great obviously with 2 assists in the last 2 games but it's also a position where we lack depth.

I'd love to see some Shane Falco shite where Donovan makes a surprise appearance. But at the beginning of the game not just halftime.

Not a good idea to play this soon after a concussion.

Supposed to wait a week after your symptoms subside to return to sport.
