Like we’ve said before, I don’t doubt Trump has made some sort of impact in this for certain nations, but it’s a highly convenient excuse when it’s obvious that corruption makes the whole FIFA world go around.

Qatar has a rising body count over its World Cup preparations, so don’t hide behind this.

2026 should be the US or Australia

Should have been England 2018, US 2022 then Australia 2026.

England probably got the biggest screw job bc it went to a fellow Uefa country.

Even without corruption, there's a 0% chance of it going to an English speaking country back to back cycles, much less 3 in a row.

I think 2030 is more than likely South America, so we are going to have limited opportunities to host for a while if we miss 2026.

Australia would be a fun host.

And I don’t think it should go to three straight English-speaking countries. You can go somewhere else in UEFA and have better balance.

Because having Obama as President worked out so well for our Chicago Olympic bid and our World Cup bid.

I'll say it again. You can't really compare this vote with those in the past.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Morocco is probably a more intolerant country than the USA. Trump's a crazy person, but he doesn't deserve to shoulder blame if we lose the bid, that would be the height of hypocrisy and it would be a shallow excuse if FIFA points to him as the reason we didn't get the bid.

I hate Trump and think it’s a complete chickenshit move to blame it on him. It just sounds better than saying you are reacting against corruption investigations.

I lay it firmly at the feet of Trump. Do any of you think that any African or Caribbean or Latin American (or “shithole”) country will vote for the US?

I’m 100% going to Australia if they host. On my list of places to go and I’d check out New Zealand too.

....regardless of whether the USMNT qualifies. They already fricked my plans for going to Russia. Not again.

I’d even entertain going to Morocco albeit I hope it is the NA bid.
