If you go off on a stretcher you should not be allowed back on the field

This should be a rule. If your injury is so bad that you have to be carried off the field, you are obviously too hurt to continue playing, right? I'm so sick of the theatrics.

Yeah, it really sucks that in a match with so many great players, Dani Alves makes by far the most important play of the match by faking an injury.
Some credit too though goes to Busquets: him clutching his face like he was punched by Mike Tyson every 5 minutes is worthy an assist.

he was clearly too tired from rolling around to move off of the field under his own power--exhaustion

Those barrel rolls are tiresome.

My all time favorite fake injury. Nothing Barca, Real, or anyone can do to top this one.

I've never understood why that hasn't been ridiculed more. That should never have been lived down.

i think that we should get together with australia and form a world series of soccer. no diving, no bullshite.
w/a rotation of commonwealth teams to fill out a four team tournament. england is disqualified by virtue of steven gerrard.

I agree 100%.

Also, there should be more of a hurry to get those guys off the field, unless there is some sort of serious head/neck/back injury. If its a leg, haul that guy off. He can get the same treatment off the field. Why put the world on hold for one leg?

I've always been kind of partial to this one:

There are times where I wish a club would buy a 'player' who wasn't really a soccer player, but just someone willing to break the legs of the worst of the actors. Of course, he probably wouldn't have too long a career before he received a lifetime ban.

A double dive like that cannot be beat.
