I will be in Spain and Portugal from August 13-27, are there any matches being played?

I tried searching FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and even went to the La Liga site which I would assume would be like going to NFL.com and pressing something saying "schedule" or "Buy tickets" but am at a loss and can't seem to figure if there are any games or not.
We are renting a car and doing a couple days in each major city, so it can be any team, we just want to watch a match while we are there...if there are any.
I feel dumb that I can't figure this out on my own.

not sure the fixture list for la liga is even out yet
la liga is a shite show
but in europe tickets go on sale in stages soo for the start of the season expect them to go on sale in mid to late july for the start of the season

There will be games in both countries at that time, but I don't think many of the schedules have been released yet.

it sucks bc the super cup isn't being played in August anymore
that would be a def move to do while in Spain and tickets wouldn't be hard to get
and copa del rey is different this year

"plan" now is that we are flying into Barcelona, driving to Lisbon via Valencia, Madrid, etc ~1,800 mile roundabout, but we're just winging it. All that's set in stone is flight in and flight out of Barcelona. (cheap tickets $345 round trip, nonrefundable)
So no we are planning what to do for 14 days. Seems a waste to sit in one city for that long.

Well he’s acting like you have to have studied abroad in Lisbon to help OP, when some basic Googling will do the trick if you know what you are looking for, which pville clearly does.
