I gotta say I’m proud of some of these teams.

Qatar never backed down and equalized in injury time. Haiti played so aggressively. I’m not a huge fan of the format change in theory, but so far these games have been entertaining.

Scotland isn’t very good. That’s all I learned tonight.

US has had the best performance of any team that’s played so far.

Larger format reminds me of college basketball playoffs. Bunch of hungry minnows looking for an upset.
Huge traveling fan bases (Bosnia comes to mind).
I like it.

What an odd bit of reality that happens to be.

One minor change I’ve liked is having all 26 players participate in the national anthem next to each other.

I do miss the low camera going down the starting lineup for each team and seeing who is nervous as frick

All respect to Haiti, they came out and played with an attacking mindset. They were unfortunate to not put one in.

I didnt expect anything from them and they were a lot of fun to watch.

I was very surprised to wake up this morning and see that they had won.

I only watched the first half, but Ecuador seemed to dominate. They had a number of chances that very nearly went in.

I was at the japan game and they were awesome.

Im not sure we should consider them an underdog anymore tho. Beat Germany and spain last world cup, beat brazil and usa in the past year. Went toe to toe with netherlands yesterday. They are a strong team
