Whatever. Centuries of strife are cured overnight. They will have as much talent as anyone. Doesn't mean shite.
So Egypt won't qualify for the WC, since that country is divided right now?
We have seen what Bob Bradley and co have done there, and it is sort of the same case for Belgium, but not to the same extent.

What the hell man? Look who just won the World Cup last time.

Best training and players in the world. Belgium making it out of group will be a positive. Just like...

The quarters are their ceiling this go around.
Also, Courtois > Mignolet
ETA: For those discussing divisions, need I remind you of the finalists of the last WC?

Belgium is right up there near the top, talent-wise.
And yeah that is true that it will be a positive, as they haven't qualified for a WC since 2002.

Belgium is going through its golden generation but they don't have the star power of Spain. Just a lot of promising players.

You don't think they are one of the 5 most talented national teams?

Nope.

This. They are top 10, but not on the level of Germany, Brazil, Argentina, or Netherlands.

From a pure talent standpoint I'll take Belgium's defense, Germany in the midfield just because there is so much depth (top 4 would be pretty close imo), and Belgium's strikers (but to be fair I did just watch Benteke get crunk as hell yesterday).
If I had to pick a team more likely to make a run next summer I'd have to go with the Germans though because they know how to win.
I also think Belgium is more talented than the Netherlands right now and the Dutch big names aren't getting any younger.

Belgium has better center backs, I'd take Germany's fullbacks. Belgium has better strikers but Germany has midfielders who have played striker pretty well and that may be where their formation is headed: Mario Gotze, Marco Reus, Thomas Muller, Andre Schurrle can all play striker, but yeah at this point Benteke is better than Klose and Gomez. I'm a huge fan of Max Kruse though, doubt Jogi Loew will give him a real shot with the A team though.

Agree but Kompany is such a badass he puts them over the top for me.

Yea I do think Germany has more goal scoring threats despite what I perceive to be a fairly weak group of strikers. Lots of guys in that midfield that can find the net.

I'd also say that there are at least 10 squads with a better manager than Belgium.

A lot of bragging for having accomplished nothing so far. The A&M of Euro soccer I guess

And Vertonghen, who was named to the PFA team of the year. I just can't believe that they have those two anchoring the middle.

Feel better now? I'm glad you got that out there. Now get back to the SEC Rant. Maybe you guys can actually beat A&M this year.

i think it's more a problem that they act like rock stars and not that they hate each other.

the dutch are about to go through a generational transition and may have some issues in 2015/16
their midfield really has aged/fallen since the 2010 cup
