How has US Soccer improved since 2011?

We've missed two Olympics after participating in 2010. Is that youth development?

Player pool by acquiring dual nationals. We are not any better at playing soccer. Worse organizationally and tactically.

2012 was a cluster. 2016 is becoming one. We still have a chance, but we have to win a 3rd place game and then beat Colombia.

The way our youth system is run is leaps and bounds better than what it has been in previous cycles.
I'm not talking about the U-23 level... I'm talking about going all the way down to the U-8, U-10 levels.

Couldn't have said it better.
We got good dual nationals and a few mediocre dual nationals. We haven't lost out on anyone besides Najar, who can barely speak English and the ultra-late blooming Movsisyan, but that's about the only thing we can hang our hats on.

Is 8-10 level improvement a reason to keep a coach 10 years till they can play for Senior team?
(I know this wasn't the point of your comment, but you don't get hired as national team coach to improve the youth squads.)
