They played each other to a draw, but but which team is stronger?

Paraguay needs to play a Juan Iturbe. Not sure why they don't.

thought about this last night for sure. cameron and brooks are playing very, very well

fabs and yeds get caught pushing on occasion, though. bradley settling in at CDM helps with the back 4

having bedoya out wide is crucial to me, to help with the offensive pushes of whichever FB he's flanking

our 2 FBs are often our most creative offensive players

I hope no one here is suggesting that the US can overlook anyone in this tournament..... I mean come on we arent talking WCQ group stage.

Paraguay is certainly more unnerving.

Costa Rica are missing some key members of the defense (Navas, Giancarlo Gonzalez, et al) and that's really been the reason they're so tough.

With CRC missing those players, I think Paraguay is a much more dangerous opponent.

Paraguay have a full fleet of very talented young forwards and attacking midfielders. they seem like they can be really shaky defensively but sparkling in attack at times.

They seem to have some serious young attacking talent.

Tonny Sanabria is really the one that it would seem hard to justify not starting. He was electric against Colombia when coming on around 60'

Oscar Romero, the one who eventually got the red, was pretty impressive.

Really their entire fleet of young forwards and attacking midfielders seem very talented . . .

The first 20 or so minutes against Costa Rica and the 2nd half against Colombia saw Paraguay play some of the more sparkling attacking football of this tournament.

The problem seems that they're mainly young and prone to big defensive lapses when "playing on the front foot".

He might be hurt. He subbed on against CR but wasn't even dressed out last night

Yeah Paraguay was the better team against Costa Rica and outplayed Colombia for large stretches of that game. They are by no means a guaranteed draw. Hopefully we caught another break with an important player for them getting a red card, and hopefully the ran themselves into the ground a little bit trying so desperately to come back.

Given recent results, we can't overlook anyone there either.

The guy that got kicked off for Paraguay was playing really well before he got sent off. Probably a significant loss for them against us
