I love the EPL and enjoy watching it, especially on the weekends, however, I don’t have a team. Unfortunately, I don’t have a local bar/pub dedicated to one team’s supporters. I’ve seen similar posts in the past about picking a team with players or a style of play that you like; however, players and style of play change, right?

I want an EPL team that I can regularly access, but I certainly don’t want the NY Yankees, Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs equivalent.

Any suggestions or comparisons/similarities to American sports that can help me pick a club to support?

Leicester or Southampton would be a good follow.

Bonus points to Southampton for having a strong club identity.

Chelsea/Arsenal are both nice midtable sides.

I may be in the minority but I like not being chained to one team.

Give Everton a look. A generally likable side, with lots of history. Usually a solid, but not top 5 club, with occasional moments that make you think they can break through. Plus we got a Ha-mez now.

Are you a smaller town guy or a city guy? If you're a small town guy, the answer is Burnley, which has a population of about 70,000. If you're a city guy and you want an urban club that isn't a bandwagon following, I'd say the answer is Fulham or Crystal Palace. They each have a large following, with Fulham being in West London and Palace being in South London.

Do you have a bar or pub that shows any games?
