Also so many spoilers on the board. I hope no one checks it before watching. Actually I hope they do.

Tie breaker is goal differential.

That's why Germany putting four on Portugal today was good for us.

I'm pretty sure the following scenario is right, but I'm just spitballing.

Let's say we lose to Germany and tie Portugal. And Portugal beats Ghana.

That puts us and Portugal with 4 points.

But Portugal's goal differential is -4 and our's is +1.

That means Portugal has to beat Ghana by more than 5 goals.

That's huge.

Bradley was awful today.

I think he is better running out of the back instead of playing in the tip of the diamond.

The ref was giving them the ball time after time, then adds 5 minutes when there was only 4 subs in the second half.

Fair play to Ghana, they ran us ragged in the midfield and seem to never get tired.

No. The combo of Germany's goals over us and Portugal's goals over Ghana would have to exceed 5.

He's been fantastic for us at this spot... Had a bad game against a team with physical MFs and D. Fully expect him to bounce back.

Plus, Bradley is pretty much the only guy that can play that lead attacking role in the diamond. Jones and Beckerman are defensive mids. Zusi and Bedoya are at their best out wide. Mix maybe could but we aren't comfortable with him as a full time starter.

Yes, forgot about that.

I hope that Germany - with 6 points and a guarantee to advance - would rest their best and take it easy in the match with us.

Crazy that John Brooks is the first ever USA subbed in player to score a goal in the WC.
