Great first half from a Group G standpoint. We need to be rooting for Algeria and South Korea in all their matches.

I done tried to told everyone about Belgium

Were both going to jinx Algeria, but i've been saying they were soft as butter, and not that good since this board started circle jerking to them.

They should thank god they didn't get the more physical African teams or they would be pissing their pants after every hard tackle.

*Cue Belgium scoring 2 goals in 2nd half, after the call out. It's like clock work.

Yeah, they're going to look like worldbeaters in the second half just because we posted something.

Still maintain they're hugely overrated

there's a difference between thinking they were overrated and this game here. i picked them second in the group behind russia. i also just picked them in streak for the cash to beat algeria by 2 goals. so i look smart and stupid at the same time.

i doubt you thought this would happen.

I didn't necessarily think they would lay an egg against Algeria but I came in here thinking that I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 3rd in their group.

It's looking like the 2nd team from Group G (hopefully us) will have a beatable opponent no matter what.

Counting my chickens before they hatch, but I would be ecstatic if we got to the quarters.

Belgium has never won anything on a big stage. WC success is a progression. All of the pressure is on them and there are some legit holes on their squad.

Meanwhile, Algeria is not an inept side. We struggled to beat them last WC and they don't concede a lot of goals - they aren't that bad.

Looks like I'll be eating some crow about Belgium, unless they get their shite together. I fell victim to the hype machine and they're letting me down hard right now

Probably just trying to spark something. Everyone has looked like shite, but I don't even remember Lukaku doing anything besides losing the ball or not being able to get open

Gotta wonder if Lukaku would have been able to finish that.
