I think I like it, but I hope he realizes that we don't have the midfield talent to do what he is famous for.
Maybe Pep wants a challenge

Would he refuse to shake hands with the opposing manager and players if our boys got roughed up a bit?

Probably, he's soft as a daisy. It's really the worst fit imaginable.

I would much prefer Mou or someone like Guus Hiddink.

Jose would probably win the WC, but he'd set the popularity of soccer in the US back a few generations while doing it. And Hiddink is completely washed-up.

I'm thoroughly impressed by your ability to find something negative in even the most hopeful of scenarios.

If the United States wins the World Cup, our manager could defecate on the steps of the White House, and it would still be a net positive for the sport, you dummy.

Jose would go full Porto as the US manager. I know that most of y'all were not following the sport back then, but he took diving to a level that had never been seen before and has never been surpassed since.

Porto? Short for Portugese? I thought he was from Spain.

FC Porto. He won the UEFA Cup (today's Europa League) and the UCL with them in 2003 and 2004

He's Portuguese

Is uway trolling? He's usually pretty informed.
