I don't really get it. Klinsmann made some really ballsy decisions to bring in some really direct players, and it worked against Mexico. He even brought in Bobby Wood who made more runs behind Mexico's back line in ~20 minutes than Jozy and Clint did in the entire game. I understand that he was under a lot of pressure but at least stick to your absolutely batshit guns. Don't revert to nearly the same shite than anyone else would do in that position if you're being hailed as a savant. We've been an absolute thorn in Mexico's side by being really direct for a long time. No use in changing the formula.

Yup. I stuck with Jurgy for awhile. It would be best if he kept developing our youth and someone else coach the MNT, but his ego is too big for that.

Imagine this game with Jermaine Jones and Michael Bradley playing CM and Sebasian Lletget at left mid
or 3-man midfield of Bradley, Jones and Feilhaber
2 guys who Jürgen ignores could have been the difference.

Mexico deserved to win, and the ref did an excellent job. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
Replace Mexico with Florida or Alabama, and this is almost exactly how I've felt about Tennessee football for the last decade.

My excitement over Klinsmann was about revamping our youth system. As far as I can tell, that isn't really going all that well.

Support.
His contribution to US soccer has been bringing in some decent international talent, but other than that, we are no better off than when we fired Bradley. He has ignored the domestic talent that could have made a difference, and I see virtually no cohesion or structure that he has had 4 years to develop.
Time to move on.

The performance last night was nothing short of embarrassing.
Mexico absolutely deserved to win that match.
They controlled possession in a way I have never seen a Mexican side do. We played afraid last night tactically.
At the end of the day, Klins has got to go, but he won't. The US Soccer Fed loves the guy, despite the fact that he is no tactical guru.
It's a shame, but it is what it is. And it is no bueno.

I thought that it would make me less angry to sleep off last night's result and come discuss this in the morning. I was wrong. I'm tired of defending JK. He has hit the dreaded plateau and his services are no longer needed here. He has kept us happy with friendly wins and talking about the growth of our youth teams. The problem is, I see the youth teams play terrible and the same with the senior team. I'm done with JK.

It's 2:42 - why does this fricker still have a job?

watching a team headed by Klinnsman reminds me of when FC Dallas was being run by Shellas Hyndman.
Constant lineup changes, players moved to positions they've never played and aren't comfortable in, plays favorites w/under-performing players while putting others in a permanent doghouse rendering any depth useless, zero offensive creativity on the field...
just a big old ball of yuck topped off by a teflon cherry of "who could we get that's better" attitude from the higher ups.

They under achieve, are not fun to watch and the players are not having fun. We need to play an athletic attacking style and maximize that, not this German/Mexican shite. Bring in the damn Jamaican coach.

Posting this in this thread as well because I need to vent
His experimentation for the most part is fricking stupid. Jermaine Jones at CB? Why? Bradley still isn't a 10 and never will be and we have wasted a year finding one. Cameron and Besler played well for the most part last summer and its not like they're too old to continue. Have them as your core and work in Yedlin at RB to establish him there and find a new LB. Work in Brooks at CB from time to time to grow. Danny Williams should be getting more looks at CDM since he's been playing pretty damn well for Reading for over a year now yet we wasted a year getting him ready by playing fricking Mix and Morales and the like back there. Nothing against Morales as a CDM but I think it's pretty clear Williams is at a higher level than him.
The one position where we are super thin is on the wings. With what I said before you can have Fabian at LW and establish him there. This gives you time to experiment on the RW and find someone. Yet we haven't. More opportunities wasted.

And Lletget and Finlay haven't gotten a look yet.
I couldn't agree more with your rant. All of those things really piss me off. Who needs cohesion? Who needs new blood? (We do) Beckerman, Dempsey, Beasley, and Jones won't be at the next cup but hey why not keep playing them as if they will be? We basically just wasted a year of a cycle. For fricks sake.

Could this realistically be it for jurgen? I mean hasn't he gotten his chance? We've got WCQ next month so a decision needs to be made.
