Pump the brakes there pal...What on earth makes you think the brits will come out of their decades long funk and be a factor in a major tournament ?

I didn't really understand the announcers' outrage because it was a friendly. If anything and after all of the injuries over the past few days, that was precisely the time to take action like that, at least preventing the last 10 minutes from turning into a free-for-all.

Is this referring to RvP's red? The second yellow was bad, but his first yellow was him being an idiot for no reason.

Especially since many have been calling for them to be more offensively minded. Whether it's crash and burn or success it will be fun to watch.

Sterlings tackle is hard, but he gets the ball first and there is no other way for him to make that challenge, stuff like tat is what is taking tackling out of the game. And it is not a preseason friendly, this is a game for people to try and make their argument for a start in the world cup, it is taken a million times more seriously for people on the bubble than some random November friendly which accomplishes nothing.
He is sent off because of Valencias reaction(being infront of 4 Ecuador subs doesnt help) and AV was clearly hot headed before that challenge as he left his foot in in a challenge with Lampard that smacked him in the face.
The fear for Ox is knee ligament damage.
The players we have dictate that we will atack in a different way to previously, its just our AMs are a lot more direct, Beckham, Scholes etc. arent people that will run at you and take you on, Lallana, Barkley, Sturridge, Sterling will all take you on.

Agreed. Abidal grabbed Diaby by the throat right in front of the ref and not even a foul was called. This was before the second yellow on RVP.

So dangerous and reckless that he was hurt so bad that he could turn right around and push him in the face...seriously his feet aren't high, his studs arent up, theres no malice at all his momentum just takes him through AV.
Slide tackling is being taken from the game, the way people act with tackles is that once the ball gets touched momentum must stop and there is to be no player to player contact, its impossible.

Yeh he starts in my England XI, but I said we would be ok not that they are our best 4.
For the first time in a long time we are deep at AM, and those 4 on form will be able to make holes in any defense in the world.

Sterlings really running in sand....
Even with a fit Walcott, I think we would only play one true speedster, with a Lallana type on the opposite side.
