Here is the tool to give you some teams to manage.

Terrible finance method but moving towards 2D play on the field. I get my money's worth every year

My favorite was taking over Beroe in the Bulgarian league and being able to acquire a bunch of Brazilians to gain them dual citizenship and build up Bulgaria. They managed to finish 3rd in the World Cup and Runner Up twice in the Euros.

Ukraine won the 2022 World Cup after it was moved to Canada in my save. Their top player was a Brazilian dual-national who started his career at Corinthians and then ended up at Barca. I have no clue how he got random Ukrainian nationality, especially since he never played there.

can never do more than 7 seasons with 1 club.

20+ would be mind numbing boring

Same. I lose interest when most of the players starting are re-gens

That's literally the only reason I play. I sometimes will start a game unemployed and will sim 10-15 years into the future so mostl of the realistic players are retired.

Pretty large reason I even started playing the game because you could only go 15 years in FIFA.

To each their own. I just can't get into it. I like playing with real players that I actually know about. I'll buy the occasional re-gen who looks like he can be good in the future but as far as playing a whole team with re-gens, just not my cup of tea. But that's what's so great about FM you can pretty much do anything you want to

Yup.

I have a few challenges I want to do once I leave City in my save which may be never

I'd like to manage Atletic Bilbao and also try my hands at the San Marino challenge.

I have multiple saves going. I can't have just one save, I get burnt out(I get burned out easy). I'd like to do a Journeyman career once I get more experience in the game

Most people I know personally get tired in games like these after a few seasons if they can even get through one.

I've always been someone who plays all 15-years w/ one club on FIFA or spent 50 years in a dynasty w/ LSU.

For whatever reason I get addicted to my youth teams and the players that come through especially since I have like 15 affiliates now.

Depends on how many leagues you have selected. If you have a lot, it'll probably grind. If you only play for a couple of seasons, it won't matter, but once you get going, it'll bog down.

I should probably try doing a save like that with someone like FC Dallas who has amazing youth development and stay for an entire career there then hopefully get offered the USA job and build up the youth program and make us into one of the best in the world

I have added 7-8 leagues since I began my save.

Can confirm it will bog down, not necessarily the simulation speed, since I have like match replays to where they don't actually save except for key highlights of my team instead of every possible match, but saving my game takes like 1-2 minutes every single time.

Got a cheap code for FM17 off Amazon a couple of weeks ago, rolling trying to make Milan great again.

After nine games in league, great isn't what is happening. Set up in a 4-5-1, well really a 4-2-3-1. Possession has been decent and making a decent amount of chances but with few goals. The one game where the goals were flowing, the backline was a porous sieve.

I'm a novice tactically, so I'm not surprised there have been early struggles. The game is really addicting though, and a great format to learn more about the game. Just hope my arse doesn't get sacked when I fail to make Champions League this year.

I bought the new version of this game at the time about 2 years ago. Fun but it was very overwhelming and confusing. I don't think I spent enough time just making mistakes and learning. Some good advice in here, might pick up FM 17

If you are looking at OOTP baseball, then I know they advertise with the Sleeper and the Bust podcast (fantasy baseball). You can listen by just going to fangraphs.com.

The advertisement is in the first three minutes. I believe there is a promo code in the ad.

i bought OOTP the other day.

it's a good time killer.

The best thing to do with tactics are 2 search in the dload links on fmscout, a tactic some one created. FM is really a nut cruncher on trying to figure out tactics.

I once created a team of the best players on the world, with liverpool, and couldn't beat the bottom dwellers, because of tactics.

I think this is the best thing to do if you're starting out, because like Seeeek said, it can be a bitch trying to figure it out at first.

But later on I've found it very rewarding to come up w/ tactics of my own, especially when they work lol.

Also, don't run the same tactic over and over. I have one that I always run at home (the match engine for whatever reason takes home field advantage in to play way too much) and then two others I switch between for away matches. Also opposing teams may not necessarily change formations, but their tactics also differ home and away. If they're at home and you're up big on aggregate, like 4-0, in the UCL or something, I've seen other teams and myself either lose 5-0, or have to go into extra time.

This does happen, but it's because the bottom dwellers will sit back and soak in your attack and then try to hit back on the counter. The bigger clubs will play more open because they have solid attacking players as well so those games can sometimes be won by large margins, while you may have to be happy w/ a 1-0 win over Derby/Sunderland, etc...

Someone made a US mod down to the NCAA level. Its interesting, I haven't gone in depth with it, but it's expansive. They even listed notable alumni, prior league championships, downloadable jerseys... They even changed it so NCAA players get drafted instead of PDL player. The things people try to do with this game sometimes is crazy.
