Since i was old enough and still play. My highest qualification was HS. LOL at asking for my resume though. As if that matters.

Could you please respond to my post earlier? It's easy to say FIFA needs to eradicate diving, but you haven't really provided with a way to go about doing it.
I'm not trying to call you out. I'm with you, I hate the embellished diving, but I don't think it can stopped. Maybe you have ideas.

It's easy to point out an obvious dive on replay, not so much in real time. Soccer refs are under the most pressure of any sports official in the world, asking them to weed out diving could lead to cards and suspensions for legitimate fouls.
Sure, you can retroactively fine and suspend players (not really stopping the issue in the NBA), but what if a flop/dive leads to a free kick that scores a winning goal? You damn well better believe that the diving player would not regret his decision.

I played on a good hs team. I wasn't close to our best player and not good enough to play college. But that shite really doesn't matter. Not even a little.

Look at Luis Suarez in 2010. Do you think he has any regrets with his handball v. Ghana in the quarterfinals? Do you think he would do it again if that opportunity came up again?

Seems like a necessary slope, not a slippery one. It's helped in the NBA although they definitely need stronger punishments.

I've watched the NBA for years and it has progressively gotten worse. In fact, I've seen a lot of flops go without a fine.

I was happy about that. I was not happy that our midfield played probably the worst out of any team I have watched in the tournament and until today I had watched every game.

I dunno if we played the worst. Oddly enough, the fact that we remained on our 18 the whole game actually played into our hands, as Ghana and African teams in general are awful playing with 10 behind the ball.

Agreed. For someone like Dwayne Wade, 5k for a flop that might net his team an extra possession? Completely worth it. Dude makes around 277,777 per game.

With human interpretation you will never be able to fully eliminate the acts, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try. If curtailing/discouraging is the best that can be done then so be it, it will help at least. For tournament matches, there would have to be some sort of live review system for it to have a preferred effect.
Regarding basketball flopping, not enough is done. Technical fouls should be given out, not small meaningless fines. The technical fouls will add up to suspensions.
