France is a pretty diverse country. Payet is from Réunion off the coast of Madagascar. Evra was the son of Senegalese diplomats. Koscielny's parents are Polish. Obviously there is a big African presence but hey it's the new normal. Modern France is one of the more diverse countries in the world, I would say. And let's be honest, this is normal. Kids from poorer families are usually represented on the big stage. Plenty of African families immigrate to France. This includes Northern Africa and their Arab players, the Zidanes, Benzemas, Nasris etc.
