I’m pumped about what Joao Pedro brings to this thing. And Santos.

I was impressed with both.

Dare I say it, Nkuku look very good as well. In the very least, his performance should mean that he still has value in the trade market.

Still need a CB and Sanchez makes me cringe but I think we’ll get that sorted out. And how about Willian?

Agree on Sanchez.

An experienced CB would be nice.

Willian is a top tier talent.

Like I have said previously, I like us moving forward as we mature and gain experience.

He has incredibly high potential. As does Santos, AND the overlooked Paez.

All have big time potential imho.

Why not bring Kepa back.
Thought he was better than Sanchez

Hell I’d take Petrovic over Sanchez. Don’t know what they see in him. Sanchez is not Chelsea class.

Pretty solid first half. Marc saves us with a clearance on the goal line. Sanchez hasn’t been tested much. Joao Pedro is a force. He and Delap with some Jackson mixed in will give teams fits.
Enzo and Caicedo controlling the midfield. Palmer quite so far. Let’s get one more then play some defense.

Strong showing today. Joao Pedro- I honestly didn’t know why we pursued him so hard but now I see it. Awesome finisher. He’s gonna take Jackson’s minutes. Back line was solid today as the Brazilians only got off a couple of clean shots. Get Nkunku and Madeuke out of my club. Selfish players. Enzo and Caicedo were amazing. Marc was Marc. Those bastards started their shithousery with 15 minutes left and almost gave Moises a serious knock.
Well done Blues. Finals here we come.

Is it a given that Jackson is still viewed by the "brain trust" as a long-term option? I think he would look absolutely amazing in an Everton or Crystal Palace kit.

Joao Pedro have given them something to think about when it comes to strikers. Jackson’s immaturity and lack of polish at the end of runs means he’s on a short leash. If Delap were not in the picture, I’d think Jackson would be safe. Now, not so sure.

Joao Pedro was awesome yesterday.

I am not willing to give up on Jackson yet. His work rate and ability to get into finishing positions are elite. He just needs to work on finishing. Chelsea has Premier League and Champions League this year. There is definitely room for Jackson on the squad.

To be fair, we didn't really have to work yesterday and have the extra day off.

This presents a good opportunity to see how far along this project really is. The #4 finish, conference league, and even this tournament final did not come by beating any giants. PSG is in form and loaded. This young CFC team is going to have to level up to make a game of it and do something spectacular to win.

Nope. PSG is playing at a very high level. They made Madrid look almost pedestrian, which is scary. Not having Caicedo would be huge, so it will be interesting to see what the squad and formation will look like should he be unavailable.

While I would like for us to win this cup, I'm pleased to see that the team took the competition seriously and am feeling very optimistic regarding our chances heading into the upcoming EPL/Champions League season.
