Gallagher is being played well out of position. He’s not a defensive mid and he’s plugging a hole before the new guys are ready.

Well that certainly was something. Looked like we were the team minus a player today. Liked Jackson and Sterling today and Carney’s goal. Gallagher can go to free up money for a GK and another striker.

We needed one or two more experienced players. Having a team full of children was always a stupid idea.

Minutes per goal/assist in all competitions in their Chelsea careers:

Pulisic: 171 (playing a lot of wingback)
Sterling: 210

It’s amazing how much of the roster has changed over

We need to be patient with this group and see how they look after the January break

I am hoping to see improvement and cohesion begin to take shape

Problem is we absolutely need CL or EL next year. Don’t have time to wait for them to gel with the spending.

CP still sucked tho. and that wingback complaint is so weak. he was always effectively a winger with little defensive responsibility. agenda.

CP didn’t “suck”. He was just inconsistent as hell. On his bright day he was our most dangerous player, but 50% of the time he was bang average and fighting Sterling and mudryk for a spot.

He's definitely better than Mudryk

Complete waste of 100m

completely agree.

bang average was willian and pedro. they had their moments but were largely frustating. CP reached their level in very short spurts that lasted a handful of games.

Willian and Pedro were fantastic their first few seasons with Chelsea. When they started aging out they became bang average. There’s no way prime willian was “average”

feels like some heavy willian revisionism.
Willian never had double digit goals or double digit assists in any prem season with chelsea. easily one of hte more critized players during that era. was he bang average in the grand scheme of world football? no, but bang average for a squad of chelsea's ambitions? totally.

not finding a proper compliment of Hazard was one of the biggest failures the club had. it kept chelsea from consistently being elite.

Don’t want to jump to conclusions on the second match of the season. They need time. Arsenal was patient with Arteta and it has paid off even through everyone wanted him fired two seasons ago. Poch needs time to further shape his squad.

Pathetic team performance today and the thread fizzles down to more CP bashing. Thank goodness he escaped this enduring shite show.
