There was some strange back and forth with English mount lovers and USA pulisic lovers but it’s pretty easy to see who the more in form player is, and possibly the all around better player.
If puli doesn’t get himself into some scoring situations I don’t really see him as a 25 max minute player for his career. Especially this young

I don’t think there’s any question. But you must give a nod to the Frank’s castoffs who have really played well- Alonso, Rudiger, Christensen - all left for dead (I was calling for their transfers) but resurrected under Tuchel. It’s been a pretty amazing transformation.

no question, Alonso alone is incredible how Tuchel has resurrected him.
I see CFC getting better and Tuchel has yet to lose as Manager, so I feel good about the move thus far

you could argue that mount has been CFC’s best player this season
I mean, there's nobody else you could even argue for if you're being honest

I guess you could argue Mendy, who has been superb this season particularly in the last 10 matches- 2 goals against (one own-goal) and 8 clean sheets. You could say his presence alone has made the back line much better.

The formation change is helping everyone, especially Alonso. It’s the only place he makes any sense, and in that position he’s one of the best.
Conte had huge success in that formation until he didn’t. Will be interesting to see if TT stays in it long term or not.

And all of the sudden that win at Anfield doesn’t look so great. The significance is important psychologically but Fulham looked almost as dominant there. Maybe it says more about Liverpool.

Liverpool isn’t much different from its dominating season a year ago. It goes to show how difficult it is to sustain success. Human nature is to relax and others want it more.

All I know is Klopp is not relaxed.

Should’ve awarded Kai the goal but I love his activity so far. Looks comfortable up top.

CFC are the kings of kicking the ball straight at the goalie

This is a really big win. Everton was hot and playing as well as anyone going into this game and they were neutered. Blues had to keep up with LC and MU and distance themselves from Everton and got it done today. Still somewhat anemic on top but I liked Kai’s activity and would like to see more of him there. Blues have become a brick wall no matter who plays on the back line.

Or, you know, all your defenders get injured.

CP finally gets a start but it seems like it’s going to be in a RWB role. Has he ever played there?

Ho-hum half. Pulisic had a couple of nice crosses. I admire Leeds and how they like to apply high pressure constantly, hoping to get an errant pass and convert. Blues only really got one decent shot on goal in the 1st half. Ziyech looks like the most expendable player in blue- that was wasted money. Back line has been very good as usual and glad to see Chilly get the start.
