I'm not sure of Chelsea's plans for Courtois after this season, but if I were them I'd tell em to frick off. He can rot on the bench before he goes to Atletico.
First of all, Atletico can't afford him. They want to make him part of a deal for Diego Costa. I can't see Chelsea falling for that. Diego Costa will more than likely leave Madrid this Summer and it looks like Chelsea will be where he lands. Atletico need that money and it would behoove them to keep a good working situation with Chelsae and not break contracts that they signed.
Second, it's being reported that Courtois is on the verge of signing an extension with Chelsea that will probably send him back to Atletico on loan if they stick to their end of the bargain.

But Atletico is better than Madrid.

Randy, what other striker do you expect us to be in the market for next year? There doesn't seem to be a huge pool of options like there was last year.

When it gets to the semis, even the loaning team should realize the public demand the best 11 vs. the best 11.
Bayern big over Madrid, 7-3
Chelsea squeaks by Athletico because of experience 4-3.
Bayern exacts their revenge in the championship game 3-1.

None really, which is why I'm afraid Costa is going to happen.
I'd be perfectly fine just bringing Lukaku back and making him the #1.

No, they shouldn't.
The "public" shouldn't invalidate a contract that has been greatly beneficial to Atletico. If UEFA has other reasons, then that's fine.

please stop posting over here
Bayern's CB's have looked awful. The Madrid BBC is very capable of putting more than 3 past them in two legs. The fact you think Bayern will score 7 while holding Real to 3 is a bit absurd. If Bayern plays an open style to score 7 Madrid will be trading punch for punch with them and it will be a high scoring tie.
Chelsea's experience wtf are you talking about. This 2014 team is a shadow of the one that won in 2012. Lots of new and young players on this Chelsea squad.

They "shouldn't" but this is what it comes down to from UEFA I'd imagine.
Courtois may be owned by Chelsea but he's an Atletico player in pretty much every neutral fans' experience since he's played around 150 matches for them and 0 for Chelsea.
UEFA will try to find/create whatever rule they need to make sure they don't have the vast majority of neutral followers thinking it cheapens such a high profile match that he can't play.

I don't doubt it. I just don't agree with it. Though, in a sense, this is probably what Chelsea deserve for buying every promising young player in the world. Should have loaned Courtois out to Vitesse.
But, at the end of the day, I'd honestly be less bothered if Platini personally wired Atletico money to recall Asenjo.

The problem with this stuff is always that UEFA has enough vague rules that there is always something they can point out but seldom a clear one that everyone knows.
Italian FIGC is just as bad--see the recent Destro suspension for hitting Astori where the main difference in his suspension and the numerous similar events that go unpunished almost weekly is simply the amount of national press it received and that mainly because Roma is within striking distance of Juve.

I'd like Ivanovic's yellow card accumulation ban lifted so we can enjoy the best 11.

Card bans that carry over are just terrible.

Worst rule in sports, easily.

Who are you to tell anyone to quit posting, anywhere on any message board, it makes you look like a stupid idiot.
My picks in the quarters was.
Athletico over Barca.
R.M. over BVB
Bayern over Manu
PSG over Chealsa
I bet you were one of the ones mocking my Athletico pick, sit down son.
Frank Lampard
Peter Cech
Gary Cahil
John Terry
Branslav Ivanovic
David Luiz
Torres, but he is shyt.
No, you are right, Chealsa doesn't have any experience at all, in 2012 Chealsa won with their defense and even though both Terry and Ivanovic were suspended for the finals vs. Bayern, they both contributed greatly on Chealsa getting to the finals. Like I said, the experience these guys have in champions league I think will make the difference, regardless of how clueless you are to facts son.
Athletico's first semi-final appearance in 40 years.
I hate Chealsa and hope I am wrong, but your ignorance about facts is laughable.
And Jose Mourinho has no C.L. experience either I suppose.
Last year Bayern trounced Barca. 7-0 in two legs and BVB beat R.M., I am not that impressed with Spanish sides vs. the Bayern machine.
It takes a defensive effort to have a shot at beating B.M. and I think once B.M. wins the first game 2-1 or 3-1 R.M. will have to chase the game in game 2 and will give up goals.
It's my opinion, you don't have to bet the house on it, but you need to learn manners son.

You clearly do not watch enough Bayern. Both Madrid and Bayern have new managers with different styles.
along with the Barca side you are using
On the regular you come on here talking nonsense and no one takes you serious.
Bayerns back line is shaky and Madrid could easy put 3 past them in one night. All be it lose 4-3.

Absolutely wrong.
He was immense in that Champion's League run. Block after block against Barca and Bayern.
Cech, Ivan, Cahill, Terry, Luiz, Lampard, Ramires, Torres, Eto'o, Mourinho, all have big time Champions League experience. Not nearly as much on the Atletico side.
