i kinda wish it was cameron at RB and johnson at RM, but there's no way bedoya or zusi would be playing no. 10 so cameron in MF. the reason i say that, it's a world cup of pace in attack (generally, and specifically against teams like Belgium who are starting 4 CBs in their back line). johnson and beasley (and probably yedlin, fairly unlikely but also possibly green) will be where we succeed going forward, if we do in fact succeed. would be nice to let johnson just attack without worrying about hazard. hazard won't track back super well, but that's also worrying because johnson bombs forward a lot. i'm afraid this might be the game hazard breaks out.

Beckerman has been solid, but I'm excited to see Cameron out there getting his chance in midfield. Last time I saw him playing the position I was really excited about his future in the position. He was all over the field winning balls and his passing was actually really well.

I think Cameron's also at DM for set piece reasons. Belgium has a ton of size: Fellaini, Kompany, Van Buyten, Vertonghen, Origi, Alderweild, etc.

I love it.

Fabs has done work in the midfield for us in the past.

SBI is saying its a 4-3-3. Who are the attacking 3?
Dempsey, Bradley, Zusi I guess

At 2:22
Soccer By Ives: The tactical lineup handed out here has #USA in a 4-3-3, with Cameron at right back and Johnson as a right forward. VERY interesting if true

It makes sense in some ways. Cameron has gone up against Hazard at least two or three times as a RB.

I love it as well. Fab should be a monster for us today. Good move by Jurgen

And I like that we are giving them a different look. Plus, Belgium isnt a team with blazing speed. I dont mind having 3 CBs on the back line with Beasley.

And if I had to guess who the attacking 3 would be, I would think its Dempsey, Bradley, and I guess Zusi to send in crosses. But I wouldnt mind seeing Fab getting forward more than Zusi.

So ready for this game to start

I have no idea where our guys are playing ESPN just showed the same formation that has Cameron at midfield and Fab at RB. But on the ticker they went through the lineups and it said Cameron was playing defender and Fab at the midfield.... so confused
